When I was first officially diagnosed with OCD the first thing I did of course was search the Internet for resources. I was looking for more information, books to read, self-help tips, and most importantly, other people with OCD. What I stumbled across was a blog by a young woman named Ellen.
She, along with several others with OCD, all write about their experiences and help raise awareness of the disorder. It was incredibly comforting to be able to hear first-hand that other people (real people, not just numbers) also have OCD. This inspired me to want to start my own blog. These blogs were and continue to be so helpful to me so now I feel obligated to contribute to the firsthand writing about OCD that exists on the Internet.
Seriously, go check out Ellen’s blog: http://ellensocdblog.wordpress.com/ It’s awesome!

With so much positive support from other mental health advocates this seems very possible 🙂
