While I am happy to chat and share stories, I am not a licensed therapist or mental health provider. I am not able, ethically or personally, to provide counseling or crisis care.
Hey Morgan! I don’t know how to tell my parents I could have OCD, nonetheless have to explain to them what intrusive thoughts are. It’s so embarrassing, the only person I could tell is my BFF is because she understands OCD isn’t cute. Any advice?
Have you thought about writing them a letter? Even if you don’t give them the letter and talk to them instead, at least it will help you gather your thoughts in advance.
Also know that OCD is nothing to be embarrassed about. We all have weird thoughts, even people without OCD. OCD is a medical condition just like any other so you deserve help.
Best of luck!
I would love to get info on how to write thw you are not alone letters. I would love to share this to my fb group called ocd awareness, resourses and support.
Hi Staci! I sent an email about getting involved with sending them. We’d be honored if you shared it on your Facebook group. We have a Facebook page as well you can include: https://www.facebook.com/NotAloneNotes/
Hi ! My name is Harper, and I was wondering if you take volunteers to help write and send letters?
