In my senior year English class we read a lot of poems and had to write about them. It’s weird how sometimes a single quote or poem will immediately engulf your attention and then travel with you for the rest of your life.
Well here’s the poem that did this for me:
Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening
by Robert Frost
And miles to go before I sleep.
This poem is pretty much the recipe for how I live my life. I will not stop fighting my OCD or anything else at all that I am faced with because I have so much left to do and experience in life, and I deserve to enjoy these things to the fullest. Any problem can be overcome and overcoming life’s challenges (to reach a personal goal, happiness, self-confidence, peace with oneself, anything) will always be worth it. This philosophy and drive probably won’t even go away when I am older because there will always be more to do and experience, just different things. It will always be worth overcoming hardships to get to these. No, I’m never stopping my fight to live life to the fullest and happiest. I have so many miles left to go before I sleep.

(Hopefully what I said makes sense. It’s hard to summarize your whole life philosophy into a single paragraph.)
